About this site

RinkNearMe is an independent directory of ice rinks and roller skating rinks in the United States. It exists for one question: where can I skate today, when is public skate, and what will it cost? Rink websites answer that in very different ways, often in a PDF calendar or a social-media post. We put what each rink publishes into one consistent format, with the source and the date on every schedule and price, and say plainly when something is not known.

What we are not

• We do not run, own or represent any rink, and we do not sell admission, lessons or parties.
• Rinks do not pay to be listed or to appear higher. There are no sponsored listings.
• We do not publish star ratings or copy reviews from other sites.

Where the information comes from

The directory currently lists 1,579 rinks in 51 states. Locations, names and many addresses come from OpenStreetMap and Wikidata; phone numbers, websites and hours from those and from public map listings. Public-skate schedules, prices, programs and rules are read from each rink's own website and dated. The editorial policy explains the process.

How the site is paid for

The site may carry advertising in the future, always labelled and kept apart from the phone and directions buttons. Advertisers will have no say over listings.
